Pulau Aman ("Island of Peace") Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

Pulau Aman is a small island in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. Literally means "Island of Peace", it is a home to a traditional Malay village. Situated on an island covering an area of about 115-hectare, the place is the entryway to serenity and peacefulness.
As a pleasant fishing village with a population of only about three hundred (with about 90 homes), the majority of people on Pulau Aman are elderly folks and children. Life on the island is simple in traditional ways with man and nature of synchronized in harmony with one other. Pulau Aman is known for having the oldest Sukun (breadfruit) tree in Malaysia.
There are many attractive places to visit in Pulau Aman such as Jalan Telaga Emas, Batu Perompak and the nearby island of Pulau Gedung.
Pulau Aman is about 2.5 nautical miles from the mainland, just off the southern coast of Seberang Prai. The nearest town is Bukit Tambun  from which a half-an-hour boat ride gets one to the island. It is located to the southeast of Pulau Pinang Island. Pulau Aman is accessible by ferry boat from the pier at Bukit Tambun (Batu Musang jetty).
